TYR Protection is a swedish body armour company specialized in steel core ballistic protection products. The name Tyr comes from one of our old nordic Gods. Tyr was a fearless and honorable God of war who was believed to protect viking warriors during battle.  Our mission is to protect You. Catchpenny features are not our cup of tea -instead we focus on offering affordable and durable high quality ballistic products that you can trust with your life. 

All our steel core products are made and developed in Sweden. We take no shortcuts and use only the best raw materials available. As a result many of our products are thinner and lighter compared to what some of our competitors offer.

We also manufacture soft armor products like bulletproof vests in our own facility on the swedish west coast. All soft armor is made of top of the line materials from well known brands like Teijin Aramid™ (Twaron®) DSM™ (Dyneema®) Honeywell™ (Gold Shield®) and DuPont™ (Kevlar®). 

The ballistic performance of our products has been tested by independent testing laboratories and we also perform extensive in-house stress tests to evaluate what a product can handle above its rating. Since Europe is our main market we have tailored threat levels especially for european users.

Our bulletproof vests and body armour plates can legally be purchased online from customers all over Europe (EU). We can ship body armour to all countries in the European Union and to the following countries: Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Great Britain and the USA. Ballistic Shields and backpack inserts can be shipped World Wide.
